First Theatre Movie, First Popcorn

Ezra and I had a date yesterday! We went to the theatre to see Dr. Seuss's The Lorax. Ezra had never been to the theatre before, and he had never had popcorn before. It was really fun to experience this with him for the first time. It was very busy that afternoon, as there were many school trips in to see the 3D version of the same film. He was slightly overwhelmed but did a great job. Ezra asked to sit way, way in the back because the TV screen was so huge. Funny. He LOVED the popcorn (and juice and smarties) and he has not stopped talking about the show either. Before the movie there were a few previews, one of which was not appropriate for his age (the new Tim Burton film) and as a result of watching it, he was a bit on edge for the rest of our experience. He sat on my lap and was a bit jumpy but there were no scary parts in The Lorax and he did relax after a while- but he still wanted to sit with me! Another important thing to note is that he asked me to go use the bathroom half way through the movie and he went! Even though they didn't pause it for him :). All in all, a great experience for us both- the only downside is having to explain why we can't do that everyday!

Waiting in line for our treats

First popcorn! (This was before the scary preview)
