Heartbeat

This morning Rob, Ezra and I got to hear our new family member's heartbeat for the first time! I LOVE hearing the baby's heart. It's like a little galloping horse, "ga-bump, ga-bump, ga-bump" at 150 beats per minute. Right where it should be. Apparently, a baby of our gestation (15 1/2 weeks) is approximately the size of an avocado (from crown to rump, so that does not include legs).

I will be having an ultrasound in 3-4 weeks, although apparently the office usually only gives you 1-2 weeks notice of when your appointment is, so we still aren't sure exactly when. I am very excited for this next milestone in our adventure with baby #2! When I was pregnant with Ezra my first ultrasound was at 14 weeks, so I feel like I've been waiting forever to hear the heart, and see the little one! If you're interested, Ezra's first ultrasound is posted in the archive "November 2008". It was my first ever blog post!

Ultrasound is booked!! Hooray!! September 13 at 12:50pm. I will be 20 weeks 2 days (according to my due date) at the time of the sonogram. Rob has a class at 1PM Monday's but we're still hoping he will be able to make it.

P.S. I'm blogging again - on Seth's blog, but it's been changed to include Asher :)
