Hooray! Ezra is weaning himself! He doesn't even seem to miss it. He only nurses once a day now, and it is debatable if he needs that one or not- it's the 6AM one. He barely eats and he's stopped going back to sleep now after I feed him. I think we'll be getting rid of that one fairly soon. Maybe tomorrow. We shall see. But I have this problem: Ezra seems to be sensitive to milk. He LOVES it. And he can eat all sorts of other milk products with no problem, even small amounts of milk are a non issue. But once he started drinking a significant amount of cow's milk he got instant diaper rash- and if we stop giving him the milk the rash goes away as quickly as it came. So we've started giving him formula. BOO! I don't know what else to do. He won't nurse and I've heard that goat's milk is going to be the same and I'm not keen on giving my baby soy milk. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know, because I do not want to have to pay for formula. Rob and I drink whole milk already so we wouldn't even have to buy Ezra extra milk. We're going to try giving him whole milk mixed in with the formula, or maybe whole milk once a day instead of whole milk overload. I think he'll be fine, his guts just aren't quite ready for that much cow's milk in a day. So the weaning is great- I am happy that wasn't a struggle, we did it all on his terms. But I am annoyed that I can't substitute breast milk with something cheap and readily accessible. It's a good thing he likes the formula just as much as the whole milk, and he takes it cold no problem, which also good. So, there you have it. This is what's new in our life.

And as of yesterday, Ezra is no longer nursing! He doesn't even seem to miss it and I am feeling great about it- I mean I would have been happy to continue for a few more months, but it's so nice that he did it on his own.
I think he looks a lot like you in this picture Kim!
