LLLLLL-WION!

Ezra's vocabulary is astounding, but his pronounciation is not always clear. We're working on it, and here's a sample of his progress.

Ezra: What does wion eat mommy?
Me: A Lion eats other animals, like zebras and deer.
Ezra: Yeah and a wion wives in Africa.
Me: Yes he does. Ezra, can you say LLLLion?
Ezra: LLLLL-wion.
Me: Close, it's like this LLLLion. (I show him where my tongue is)
Ezra: LLLLL-WION!

Ah. He'll get it.

This reminds me of a story my dad used to tell us about my uncle Vern. He couldn't say his "R"'s and when his older siblings were trying to 'help' him, he would say er-wed instead of rrred and then everyone would laugh.
