Check up time!

So we had Ezra's two year old check up today! A bit early, we know, but I figured that with 2.0 coming next week, me recouperating from a cesarean, and our holiday back "home", we had enough on our plates for the next few months...so better to do it now than not at all! He weighed in at a hefty (not so much) 26 1/2 lbs, and measured 33 3/4 inches(tall!). He was 19 percentile for weight and 65% for height...I'm thinking someone takes after his dad...tall and skinny...Doc wants to see us in three months to see if the gap closes, or if this will just be Ezra's normal. I'm thinking the second one!

We also had our seventh and final ultrasound today and everything is hunky dory. Last weight estimate for Baby 2.0 was 5lb, 9oz (last Thursday), and if Baby keeps growing on that trend, birth weight should be right around the 6lb mark...I guess we'll see how accurate it is! My placenta has also been thoroughly checked, and while I do have what are called "placental lakes", they are quite common (apparently almost all placentas end up with at least one), have no side effects, or effect on Baby. Hooray! I have gained 18lbs to date (Woop! Woop!), and I am measuring 33cms at almost 38 weeks pregnant. Baby is sitting super low, and I have been quite uncomfortable. I'm really looking forward to the end of the pregnancy stage and the beginning of the newborn stage. 7 sleeps until D-day!
