I haven't posted for a while, and part of the reason is I have hardly any new pictures. It's harder to take them when I'm not at home as much, and also not as on my mind when he isn't physically changing so fast. So here's an update that doesn't include any pictures. We'll call is a wordy one.
Here is some of the things Ezra has been doing lately.
-Talking. Lots and lots of talking. He is SO interested in learning new words. His favourite thing to say is "What's this?". I'd say he has about 20 words total, but he only uses about a dozen on a regular bases.
-Animal noises. He can roar like a lion, ssss like a snake, trumpet like an elephant and many more. He loves animals.
-Going places. Ezra wants to go somewhere every single day. And if we don't get going fast enough for his liking, he brings me his shoes or his jacket and says "go". Then he goes to the door, tries to put his shoes on and says, "shoes". Then he gets upset if we still don't go somewhere. It's actually quite funny.
-Pretending. He loves to drink from a candle, or read to me from a magazine, or some other such game.
-"Made you Look". He stares up at the ceiling, checks to see if you're looking, and then sneaks food off of your plate. Sneaky, sneaky boy.
-Dancing. He dances to EVERYTHING: TV commercial jingles, AC/DC in th car, and his own little humming tunes. Whatever, wherever, whenever: he's dancin'.
-Reading. Some days, Ezra is all about books, books, books. Sometimes it's the same one all day, sometimes it's a few, sometimes it's never the same book twice. But he LOVES to read.
-Playing outside. It's a whole new world to him since the snow's melted. He could spend all day out there if I were up for it.
-Colouring. He even holds the crayon right. Other than breaking them on occasion, he's a very good 14 month old artist.
-Using his spoon. All of a sudden, he figured it out. And he's very good at it, especially since I never worked on it with him.
-Playing hide and seek/chase with Daddy. He laughs and laughs and laughs at either of these games.
-Throwing a ball. This one he must have picked up at daycare, because we didn't teach it to him, but he just learned. Otherwise, it is an innate skill. Either way.
-Climbing. He's short, but he never ceases to amaze me what he can get onto. Or out of. This one for sure is innate.
-Picking his nose. This one also seems to be innate. I don't know where he would have picked it up (haha, no pun intended) but his finger always seems to be up his nose, sometimes to the second knuckle. Gross.
