37 Week Ultrasound

Well, the baby is still small (surprise, surprise), weighing in at a hefty 5lbs, 9 oz. Other than tiny (9th percentile), the baby and I appear to be very healthy. My uterus is measuring almost right on, and I've gained 24 pounds (I had gained more but lost a little in the last week), and my blood pressure is great.

I will be having a fourth, and hopefully final, ultrasound on February 3rd, unless I deliver before then. The reason is because if the baby doesn't grow enough between now and then (which there is no reason to believe would happen), it means that my placenta isn't working properly in which case they would have to induce me early. My doctor is not worried and neither are we.

These ultrasound pictures are not great, but the ultrasound was really cool- we could see the baby sicking his/her hand. The baby had the knuckles of their left hand in their mouth and it was adorable.
